To say that this adoption has been stressful is an understatement. It started about a month after we jumped into the adoption process with a big change in our financial situation. Then all of the new rules came out and we weren't sure if they would affect us or not. I'm pretty sure those 5 days caused some gray hairs on my head....good thing I dye it! Ha! Then, we got hit pretty hard with medical bills from Asher's doctors. But I think the breaking point for myself was ending up in the hospital two weekends ago. I'M OK, no need to worry, but obviously this is not what we need right now. I've mentioned this before, there is a joke in the adoption world that when things are going too good, the adoption gremlin hits you! Well he has been hitting us hard. But all I can say right now is GOD IS GOOD!
We had hit a low point recently. It seemed like doors kept closing and things kept getting harder. There was no light at the end of the tunnel for us... Well, God has spoken and has blessed us and reminded us what our path is. Last week, we found out that we are getting a small adoption grant! Then we received some funds from an unexpected source! And then we received a large donation from a family member! We still have a ways to go financially but these were huge blessings this week and they seemed to happen exactly when we needed it to. So again, God is good!
