More waiting...but still moving forward

We are currently in a waiting phase....

On April 6th, we submitted our I-800A which is a application that goes to USCIS (Homeland Security/Immigration) that determines our eligibility to adopt a child who resides in a Hague Adoption Convention country which is what China is. Right now this approval stage is taking about 60 days which seems like a long time. We just received our notice to get fingerprinted by immigration services which is required to get approval. We will do that on Monday and hopefully we won't have to wait too long to get our final approval.

After we receive approval from USCIS we then have to get all of our documents authenticated at the Secretary of State's office. Then we are ready to submit everything to China! It's a long process but we know that in the end it will be worth it!
