We found a very good book that we shared with our family members. It is called "In On It." If you have someone close to you who is adopting and you really want to learn more about the process, this is a great book to read. It is a quick and easy read that is very informative.
The chapter I liked most was where they talked about loss. A lot of people think adoption is this great thing and it can be, but people forget that adoption is because of loss. Loss between the birth family and the child, or loss for the child who may have been taken from the only place they knew as home.
